What happened this past month (July):
The first full weekend of July Joy and Nathan were up in Utah visiting family. We watched the fireworks of Stadium of Fire. We saw the Provo parade. We played games with Daddy, James III, and Suzana. We also visited Auntie Lois and some of Nathan's cousins - Mike & Jill, and Rich and Melissa.
The second weekend in July we were busy with things around the house. Joy installed cabinet protectors (both for child safety and so that our cupboards would be earthquake safe.) We got jumper cables for Joys car in case the battery dies. Also for date night we went out to eat at the local Peppino's Pizzeria.
The third weekend we split - Nathan went to do an open house for real estate, and Joy went to Sanya's birthday party. For dinner we went to Elephant Bar with some NDS friends.
The fourth weekend was also busy. Our microwave broke ( or at least the Magnetron which heats things up broke). So we spent about a week without a microwave. Then Nathan pulled out his old microwave from the garage. We dusted it off and plugged it in. Fortunately it still worked, so we're using it. On Saturday we had our friends Gab and Jess over for dinner. It felt more like they were bringing dinner to us because we only provided the entree, while they brought both a salad AND dessert. That was so nice of them. Their little boy Gabby is getting so big.
Current callings: Nathan - ward clerk; Joy - Sunbeam teacher.
Nathan is still reading a book called The Joseph Smith Papers volume 1, which he got from Mom and Dad for his birthday. He says he will probably be reading this for MONTHS, so don't expect much change here.
Joy
is reading Mystery Mile by Margery Allingham. (Carolyn gave this to me a couple of years ago.)
Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).
