What happened this past month (January):

The first weekend of January we celebrated Joy's birthday with the Tami, Chris and their family in North Carolina. They gave her a puzzle and a game called Pass the Pigs. Nathan gave her a beautiful necklace. Mom and Dad Condie gave her a blue Land's End sweater with white embroidery (see picture below). Joy's parents gave her some money for her to spend however she wants.

The second weekend we had lots of errands. Joy went to a baby shower, and we went out to dinner at a new place called Cafe Wasa.
The third weekend we had Stake Conference, and had dinner at La Sirena, which was good Mexican food. We also had game night that weekend and got to know Adrianne & Tom, and Ed & Karen better.
The fourth weekend we had dinner with Joy's friends from NDS - Natalie & Dmitri, Victor & Yiping, and Mark. We went to City Market Cafe, which was Italian. Needless to say Nathan loved it - he loves Italian food. Then we went to Natalie and Dmitri's to play games.

Nathan almost done reading The Price We Paid, which his parents lent to him. He is also working on digging up our backyard to expand the cement patio.
Joy hasn't really progressed at all in Dana's Two Years Before the Mast. Next she has promised her mother that she will read Freeman's Through the Window of Life which Joy got for Christmas one or two years ago.
Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).

Personal Information: My name is Joy Jo Logan Condie. I graduated in computer science from B.Y.U.
I was born in southern California, but I've spent most of my life in Orem, Utah.
Interests: I've practiced piano since I was eight. (That doesn't necessarily mean I'm any good.) I like to read, especially mystery novels. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors. I also like old classics such as Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, and Pride and Prejudice.
