What happened this past month (December):
The first two weekends of December Joy was busy participating in the Savior of the World musical at the church (see pictures below). Nathan was studying for his Project Management Professional test, which he passed. He is so glad to have passed that test.
The third weekend Joy and Nathan went to see A Christmas Carol at the South Coast Repertoire with our friend Jeff. This is something we do as a Christmas tradition every year. Usually Jeff brings a date, but this year his girlfriend is in Mexico, so maybe next year.
The fourth weekend we plan on being with Nathan's family in North Carolina celebrating the holidays.
It was so cold on the 18th of December that Joy had to scrape ice off her windshield in order to drive to work. Her tomato plants probably aren't going to survive the winter.
Nathan is reading The Price We Paid, which his parents lent to him. He is also working on organizing the garage. So far he has freed up a lot of space. Nathan is also working on digging up our backyard to expand the cement patio.
Joy hasn't really progressed at all in Dana's Two Years Before the Mast.
Next she has promised her mother that she will read Freeman's Through the Window of Life which Joy got for Christmas one or two years ago.
Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).
