What happened this past month (September):

The first weekend of September Joy and Nathan walked the district for the Marriage Prop 8 campaign. As expected most people weren't home. Also as expected most homeowners were registered voters, which is good. I think people should definately be interested in what laws and other political persuasions are being voted in and out. Most people we talked to weren't happy with how the four judges in San Francisco overruled Prop 22 from 2000. In fact most don't think it's appropriate for the government to define marriage.
In my opinion I can see why government should define marriage.
No matter how many "rights" the people have, two sperm do not make a baby. Try as hard as you want, that's the way it is.
Why don't we have more protests and why aren't they heard more? My guess is that we are just too well behaved.

Arizona has it's own marriage prop on the ballot this coming November.
The second weekend Nathan had the first of a series of PMP (Project Management Professional) classes. In the evening we went to look at houses with our friends Clark and Karen. Then on Sunday we visited Bill and Amber for game night. We played 25 words.
The third weekend we looked at houses with Clark and Karen again.
The fourth weekend we were again busy. On Friday evening we went grocery shopping. On Saturday Nathan had class and Joy ran around doing all her household chores. Now we've also got two baby bromeliads. (Pictures next month if they survive)

Joy is still reading Dana's Two Years Before the Mast. Next she's going to read one of Heinlein's science fiction pieces.
Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).

Personal Information: My name is Joy Jo Logan Condie. I graduated in computer science from B.Y.U.
I was born in southern California, but I've spent most of my life in Orem, Utah.
Interests: I've practiced piano since I was eight. (That doesn't necessarily mean I'm any good.) I like to read, especially mystery novels. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors. I also like old classics such as Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, and Pride and Prejudice.
