What happened this past month (August):
The first weekend of August Joy and Nathan had dinner with their NDS friends - Divya & Atul, Mark & Mina, and Natalie & Dmitri. We had dinner at Kassra. Their persian food is good and we also liked trying their rose flavored ice cream. Yum! (Well, actually Joy liked it more than Nathan did.)
The second weekend we went to the birthday party of Nathan's first cousin once removed - Trinity. She had a kitty theme, with lots of food and friends. We met the grandma (Barb) of one of Trinity's friends. Her son works for Disney, so of course her little granddaughter has everything Disney. How cute. Also that weekend we saw houses with friends of Nathan's, and Joy prepared for a musical number at church.
The third weekend we looked at houses with our friends Mikelle and Jeremy. We also had dinner with them at Pei Wei after we were done looking at houses.
The fourth weekend we were again busy. On Friday evening we delivered friendship bread to various people in our ward. We stayed and talked with Graham and Diana. We talked about how interesting it is that a lot of computer people are also musicians. Graham is our ward organist and does a wonderful job. In fact, he also plays for the stake choir. He has a wonderful talent of making hymns fun to sing. According to him, musical talent ought to be promoted more in church, especially with our rich musical heritage.
On Saturday Nathan had his swimming buddies over for breakfast on Saturday. Then after doing some household chores, Nathan and Joy went shopping for various odds and ends. Then we had dinner at a new restaurant called Viento Mar Grill. Their food was a little bland, but the service was good. Then we went to Casta Del Sol where we played golf with Jeremy and Mikelle. They are really good at golf.
