What happened this past month (May):

The first weekend of May Joy and Nathan went out to eat at a new restaurant called Taleo. Nothing much sticks out in our memory, so probably nothing outstanding.

The second week (or first full week), Joy was in San Francisco on business. Her work sent her to the JavaOne conference with 5 other coworkers. We got to try some nice restaurants (Maya & North Beach). I learned a bit and went to fun parties in the evenings.

The second weekend we tried a new restaurant called Chick Pita. It was your typical mediterranean food. Unfortunately their air conditioning broke that day (and it was also the hotest day yet). Also I got James III a birthday present, which I'm sending back with Mommy & Daddy.

The third weekend we were going to have the NDS dinner, but we decided to cancel since most people couldn't come. So we'll try again next month.

The fourth weekend we had dinner at Kassra - Persian food. The Cherry rice Joy had was nice, and Nathan liked his chicken & beef kabob-like entree.

The fifth week we had Mommy & Daddy visit us. Monday we had off because of Memorial day, so we spend the time together walking around, had dim sum, went to Home Depot to look for home improvement projects, and had dinner at the Beach House in Laguna Beach. We also had dinner a couple of time at Las Brisas in Laguna beach that week.

The fifth weekend for Nathan's birthday we had dinner at Roman Cucina in Laguna Hills. For his birthday he got the book Mormon Scientist from his parents, and a pair of binoculars from Joy. Mommy & Daddy also gave him some money for his birthday. He recently got an ipod shuffle for his swimming.

Joy's little garden has doubled in the number of plants, again, thanks to Nathan who bought Joy some tomatoe plants. Also we got 4 pyracantha plants from Green Thumb.

Joy has finished reading Dorothy Sayer's Strong Poison. Next she plans to read a book Mommy got her for Christmas by Anthony J. Sattilaro, MD. called Recalled By Life.

Joy has been lazy about updating her database of books (see link below).
