What happened this past month (February):

The first weekend of February Joy and Nathan ate out at Daphne's Greek because we had a free entre coupon. Then we watched Chariots of Fire on DVD which we got at the public library. Neither of us had seen that movie before. Nathan had thought it was Dead Poet's Society when he originally checked it out. (Hee hee) On Sunday we went to a fireside (informal church meeting) which our good friend Tom Thorkelson was presenting. We were so glad to see him again.
The second weekend we had our friends Bob and Helen over for dinner. We also played Disney trivia pursuit. Other than a few health issues, they are doing well. Joy was reminded that she needs to get a ham radio for emergencies (she already has her novice license).
For Valentine's Day Nathan gave Joy a box of Almond Roca and 2 coupons (one for breakfast in bed, and one for a candlelight dinner for two). Wasn't that sweet of him? Joy got Nathan a bag of Lindt truffles.
The third weekend we had our friends Brandon, Jacie, and Caden over for dinner. We had so much fun talking with them learning what they've been doing. Ever since they had their baby it seems like we haven't seen them around as much.
The fourth weekend we had date night with our friends Bill, Amber, and Paul. We went roller skating and had dinner at Tommy's burgers. I was so proud of Nathan for going 2/3 of the way around the roller skating rink. He only fell 2 or 3 times. Bill was so nice to let him lean on his shoulder and go slowly. Joy hadn't been roller skating since she was in Young Womens. On Sunday Joy played the piano for the ward choir. She messed up once, but it sounded okay. The ward organist (Graham) even said it sounded good, which is quite a compliment since he's a musician extraordinaire (like composition on the fly - can you say virtuoso?). She's just grateful to Heavenly Father that she got through it.

Current callings: Nathan - ward clerk; Joy - Valiant 8 teacher and choir accompanist.

Nathan is still reading a book called The Joseph Smith Papers volume 1, which he got from Mom and Dad for his birthday. He says he will probably be reading this for MONTHS, so don't expect much change here.
Joy is currently reading a book called The Secret, which is a self-help book without a plot. She is struggling to find motivation to continue reading it because there is no plot. This is why she doesn't normally read non-fiction.

We had a couple days with lots of rain. And one evening while Joy was watering the plants we found this cute little guy visiting one of our plants (Drosanthemum Hispidum). We had hoped he would stay, but he was gone the next day.

Personal Information: My name is Joy Jo Logan Condie. I graduated in computer science from B.Y.U.
I was born in southern California, but I've spent most of my life in Orem, Utah.
Interests: I've practiced piano since I was eight. (That doesn't necessarily mean I'm any good.) I like to read, especially mystery novels. Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors. I also like old classics such as Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, and Pride and Prejudice.
